Sigi and Tim cooperated in two very different projects - duo and quartet:
The saxophone/piano duo recorded for the Austrian Radio (ORF) in Vienna and for the
BBC Radio in London in 1996. The ORF recordings were released in 1997 on a CD entitled "Dervish Dances" on the ORF label. As a duo they have toured extensively in Britain, Austria and Germany, and performed at the London Jazz Festival in 1997.
The band added Phil Scragg on bass and Marc Parnell on drums, and was called "Tim Richards and Sigi Finkel's SOUNDSCAPE". While the duo played purely acoustic and more orientated towards chambermusic, "Soundscape" used a wide variety of electric sounds from keyboards, electric bass and effects on the saxophone, as heard on their latest CD "Shibop", released in April 1999 in the UK by Future Music Records.
"SOUNDSCAPE" played the Bath International Jazz Festival in May 1997 and have toured the UK several times. Their first European tour took place in April 2000 in Germany, France, Switzerland and England where they performed at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
